About The Role
Role Location: Melbourne VIC
Role Type: Permanent, Full-time Opportunity

This role is within the market leading specialist Health team in Corporate & Institutional Banking. The Health business includes clients in sub-segments covering aged care, retirement living, land lease communities, hospitals, health REITS, diagnostic imaging, allied health, childcare and community care. 

As an Analyst R&A, you will work closely with the Associate R&A, Associate Director R&A and the Senior Relationship Manager in managing a portfolio of clients across the Healthcare sector as well as assisting with structuring of new to bank opportunities. The role will be responsible for maintaining sound risk management and implementing strategic objectives to ensure that an optimal 'well managed' portfolio is maintained. The role will develop a close working relationship with other key areas of the Group such as Product Partners, Risk and others to promote deeper client insights.

The role is primarily responsible for identifying and effectively managing risks inherent in the client's business model and capital structure. The primary activities of the role covers:

  • Undertaking the ongoing credit monitoring agenda, including financial analysis, risk grade event management and quality assurance processes to ensure a well-managed portfolio is maintained;
  • Completing credit papers (including financial monitoring and periodic reviews);
  • Contribute to the development of industry analysis and credit papers to support the acquisition of new clients and new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Liaising with a client on transaction structuring and ongoing credit reviews;
  • Liaising with credit executives on an on-gong basis; and
  • Deal documentation.

About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Have a strong desire to further develop credit / transaction structuring background (experience preferred) and to apply this skill set to Healthcare’s specialist sub-segment;
  • Be highly organised and structured in their approach to client management;
  • Be willing to build an external and internal network to provide industry knowledge, insight and potential client cross sell and acquisition opportunities;
  • Have a collaborative approach with product specialists to ensure strategy execution is in line with client, industry and business writing strategy/risk appetite statements; and
  • Ability to negotiate complex financial alternatives.
  • Background knowledge in the health sub-sectors is not essential however the successful candidate should have a desire to build a deep understanding of these high growth markets
