About the Scholarship
As part of Swinburne’s exciting Victorian Hydrogen Hub (VH2) project, we have one scholarship available for an enthusiastic student to undertake the PhD project in Advanced Data Analytics for Integrated Energy Systems as part of a core multidisciplinary research team at VH2.

Led by Swinburne University of Technology, working in partnership with CSIRO and Germany’s ARENA 2036, VH2 will bring together researchers, industry partners and business. Testing, trialling and demonstrating new and emerging hydrogen technologies, the Victorian Hydrogen Hub will support sustainable manufacturing practices and the ability to store clean energy from renewable sources, striving to create a sustainable future for all.

The successful applicant will hold a master’s degree (or Honours degree) in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Information Systems, or relevant disciplines. Advanced data analytic experience (e.g., Machine Learning, Deep Learning etc.) is an essential requirement for this position.

We are seeking a person who wishes to work at the interface between advanced data analytics and innovative applications and have the aptitude to undertake solution focused research as part of a broader team.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
  • Large-scale and advanced data analytics knowledge and skills
  • The ideal candidates are expected to be enthusiastic, self-motivated with a demonstrable aptitude for research and development.
  • Research and/ or work experience relevant to data analytics, machine learning, and large-scale data processing
  • Good team-working, observational, and communication skills
