Senior Manager of Property Operations

We have an exciting opening for a knowledgeable Senior Manager of Property Operations to join our high performing Property Operations team, at The Star Gold Coast.

We are seeking an operationally minded facilities manager with a strong aptitude to lead and mentor a highly experienced team to deliver best outcomes whilst leading our transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting to the Group Manager of Engineering and Asset Management, your main purpose in this role will be to lead the safe and effective delivery of strategic and functional outcomes of the property operations team based in Sydney.

About your new role

  • Oversee the management and performance of; Building Services, Facilities Shift Operations and Site Facilities Management.
  • Work closely with Group Engineering & Asset Management team to deliver group strategy and overall performance deliverables.
  • Support the Group Engineering & Asset Management Team in the implementation of asset management strategies, asset management policies, systems, and practices.
  • Act as the main point of contact for a vast range of internal stakeholders including our COO, as well as contracts with suppliers, professional services, contractors, end users/operators, developers etc.
  • Partner with Property Development teams to assist project managers to deliver safely to program, to budget and to defined quality.
  • Develop annual operational and capital budgets and associated forecasts to ensure expenditure is within budget and provide explanations wherever discrepancies may arise.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Strong experience in a facilities management role, this role would suit someone from a senior manager of facilities, operations manager of facilities or senior facilities manager background.
  • Industry experience in hospitality, hotel, gaming and casino or retail is highly advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a management role, ideally large teams in a fast-paced environment with a focus on coaching and development and change management.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and manage communications at executive level to deliver annual operating plans that meet strategic goals.
  • Degree Qualification in Engineering, Asset, Maintenance or Facilities Management (MBA preferred)
