What we are looking for

As a Contracts Officer – Retail, your main goal in this position is to provide administrative support to the Senior Manager of Contracts, Supply Chain & Retail.  You will bring an operational lens to supplier contracts and lease agreements within the Retail, Hospitality and Property Services portfolio.  You will need an understanding of the financial and contractual services provided across the portfolios to ensure the contract requirements and KPIs are adhered to and the best interests of The Star are maximised.

  • Support key contract deliverables, lease negotiation, supplier KPI reviews and administrative support for the Retail, Hospitality and Property portfolios
  • Establishing a partnership style relationship with Contractors, Retail Tenants and internal stakeholders to allow for effective communication, efficiency opportunities and BAU management of contracts and leases
  • Assist in driving regular review meetings with external contractors, business owners and retail tenants to ensure effective relationships and communication channels are maintained
  • Preparation of monthly reports, raising purchase requisitions, invoice reconciliation and raising internal maintenance requests when required

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 2-3 years’ experience within a Contract Management in Retails
  • Experience in Hospitality/Retail/Property sector 
  • Understanding of supplier vendor relationships within Retail, Hospitality & Property sector (including strong relationship building skills)
  • High level of emotional intelligence as you will be dealing with a variety of Stakeholders
  • High level of attention to detail and oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with using, Microsoft Office, Oracle, Converga, CheckSCM and Maximo, is preferred, however training will be provided
