As a Senior Data Engineer reporting to the Data Engineering Manager will be responsible for all stages in the design and implementation of Data Platform and Data Integration Platform development work, as well as developing, documenting, and maintaining platform-based standards and ensuring compliance.

 

A few of your responsibilities

  • Provide estimates for new design and development work (From Business SME’s)
  • Take responsibility for all stages in the design and implementation of Data Platform and Data Integration Platform development work
  • Develop, document, and maintain platform-based standards, advise on their application and implementation, and ensures compliance
  • Work with and within Project teams and/or with Business Stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet or exceed requirements, and within timeframes.
  • Requirements analysis & data profiling to understand data sources, data sets and potential data gaps

 

What we are looking for

  • Hands-on experience developing solutions using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Blob Storage, SQL Server, Azure SQL DW
  • Demonstrated experience implementing solution designs and end to end development
  • Previous working experience with data languages in data languages: SQL, PySpark and Spark SQL
  • Highly skilled in verbal and written communication to analyse, interpret and address customer needs at multiple levels.
