About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will lead and manage Aged Care client services across the Australian Capital Territory, manage day-to-day operations, maintain compliance and ensure a high quality of care for our clients.

Your management experience and drive to lead a team that delivers person centred and goal driven services to support our clients to live independently is a priority. This is a Permanent Full-Time position, based in Canberra in an office environment with capacity for a Hybrid working model with days working from home. There will be travel as required across the region to support clients, train staff and meet business needs. We are looking for someone that showcases the LWB values and is motivated to provide exceptional leadership to ensure the success and high quality of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge across Aged Care programs
  • Build high performing, collaborative teams to ensure the delivery of quality services, maintain staff morale and achieve positive client outcomes
  • Manage aged care programs, compliant with legislation, standards, contractual requirements and internal policies
  • Ensure the delivery of program services in accordance with program budget, local business plans and in line with client needs and plans
  • Develop and maintain local operational/administrative systems and procedures to support the effective management of the program
  • Ensure a consistent standard of quality service delivery is maintained
  • Manage risks and issues arising in the course of service management
  • Advise and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding complex and sensitive matters
  • Develop relationships with community services and external stakeholders that will enable growth

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check.

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated leadership and staff management experience
  • Experience working with and knowledge of Aged Care funding streams
  • Qualification in Human Services or related discipline
  • Experience and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated interpersonal/communication skills, including verbal, written and negotiation
  • Ability to use initiative, think laterally, strategically and problem solve to meet deadlines and produce quality work in a fast-paced environment
