About the Role

Join our team and make a difference in your local community by playing a crucial role in catering to the unique requirements of individuals utilising our Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS) services in Northern Brisbane Suburbs. Your mission is to employ a person-centred approach, helping clients to attain their goals and fulfil their support needs. This Casual position offers flexible working hours tailored to your lifestyle, including options during school hours if needed.

The ideal candidate will live in or near one of the below suburbs and have a willingness to travel in an approximate 30 minute radius.

Milton, Toowong, New Farm, West End, Spring Hill, Sunnybank, Annerley, Greenslopes, Newstead or Fortitude valley & surrounds


Key Responsibilities

Assist clients to improve their independence according to their identified needs and goals inclusive of:

In home supports:

  • Light cleaning and housework
  • Personal care
  • Assistance with meal preparation
  • Skill development

Community Connections supports:

  • Social support
  • Shopping assistance
  • Social linking
  • Assist clients to improve their independence in according to their identified needs and goals
  • Establish a rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and their family


Skills & Experience

  • An unrestricted Australian DriverÂ’s Licence, and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar) is required
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • Excellent organisational skills, hygiene practices and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check.
