The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queens Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australias newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.
The Chief Steward, reporting to the Director of Culinary offers a unique opportunity to lead the stewarding team to meet high standards of cleanliness in all kitchens and back of house areas and build procedures and processes for improved results and efficiencies including utilisation of additional equipment, resources and industry best practices. You will champion not only regulatory obligations, but help drive team engagement, culture, and maximise performance.

You will be an experienced leader with a strong attention to detail and high standard of safety measures who will enjoy working within the food and beverage department collaboratively. Your enthusiasm and drive to lead and develop a high performing and diverse team is integral to the success of The Star Brisbanes objectives. Your background in back of house kitchen environments will put you in good stead for this role and will see you thrive in this busy environment.
As we move to The Star Brisbane you will be critical in leading the team through transition, whilst setting and maintaining the highest service and safety standards. It is also an important part of this role to foster positive relationships, drive change, and communicate effectively.
