About the Role

Support people between the ages of 51 and 71 with disability and complex health needs living in Support Independent Living in Chifley.

You will have previous experience working with people with complex health needs and be confident with providing personal care and manual handling.

This is a permanent part time position of 48 hours per fortnight, the successful candidate must be able to work the set roster below:

  • Week 1: Wed 2:30-8pm, Thu 6-9am, Fri 2:30-8pm and Sun 10pm – 7am (active night)
  • Week 2: Wed and Thu 6-9am, Fri 9am-2pm, Sat 6am-2:30pm and Sun 2:30-8pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including bathing, toileting and
  • Assist with mobility by lifting, transferring and hoisting clients
  • Follow person-centred and behaviour support plans
  • Support clients in achieving their chosen goals
  • Track and document clients changing needs
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, families and teams

Skills & Experience

  • Experience and confidence in providing personal care
  • Previous experience in working with complex health needs
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
