About the role

Reporting to the Senior Shared Service Finance Officer for Accounts Receivable & Collections you will be responsible for processing and monitoring incoming payments in an accurate and efficient manner, ensuring all receipts are allocated accurately and in a timely manner.  You will also be responsible for the identification and follow up of aged debtors utilising various communication mediums, escalation and trending of disputes and collection performance reporting to stakeholders.

This is a full time maximum term contract role until August 2025.  This role offers the flexibility to work from your preferred location, whether that is your home or from an LWB office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Accounts Receivable functions for National and Regional offices across LWB
  • Set up and maintenance of Debtors, debtor enquiries and related journals
  • Perform reconciliation of accounts activities
  • Receipt cash in all forms and apply remittance amount to appropriate account
  • Match payment to customer invoice
  • Review and escalate non-matched customer payments or unapplied cash
  • Sort and prioritise delinquent accounts
  • Monitor delinquent receivables and compliance with payment plans
  • Execute collection contact strategy
  • Escalation of further collection action requirements
  • Follow dispute management and escalation processes
  • Investigate and resolve unusual or irregular transactions
  • Monthly reporting
  • Identification of any new or existing risks, issues or errors are addressed and escalated
  • Actively contribute to the implementation of organisational projects, strategies and initiatives
  • Assist in general financial analysis related to debtors, invoicing and collections

 Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Customer to Cash functions, ideally collections and accounts receivable aspects including experience in high volume processing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience using a computerised accounts receivable & or collection system.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Demonstrated experience in follow up and collection of outstanding debtors
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory environment for areas of business responsibility.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies.
  • Demonstrated written communication skills for the creation of reports, correspondence and other material.
  • A keen eye for detail and an ability to work independently
  • Proficient ability in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
