Join our team as a Steward at The Star Brisbane.

Our breathtaking resort, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will commence a staged opening in August 2024, bringing a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre to the river city.

The role will report to senior team members within the venues, becoming an important part of our pre-opening team. This role offers the opportunity to work with industry leaders working towards the highest possible standards of quality and presentation whilst meeting established deadlines.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Managing efficient and effective stewarding services to food production areas as directed and in compliance with The Star OH&S and HACCP        

  • Accountable for all regulations relating to occupational health and safety, hygiene, security, and fire safety  

  • Work as part of a winning, solution-oriented team, to continuously deliver the best possible service to our guests in line with The Star values  

What we will be looking for

  • Strong understanding of WH&S 

  • Can-do team attitude

  • Ability to follow directions from senior leadership 

  • High volume or multi outlet experience highly regarded 

  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations

These roles require comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and OH&S standards. These roles are integral to the team and ensuring all preparation for your section is in line with service for the day and adhering to food safety requirements.

About us

The $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium – a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.

When complete, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will deliver four new luxury hotels, more than 50 new food and beverage experiences, significant luxury retail, the restoration of nine heritage buildings and around 1,500 residential apartments.

Our current property, Treasury Brisbane, showcases old-world opulence of a five-star hotel; the non-stop excitement of Brisbane’s only 24-hour casino; the thrill of live entertainment; the glamour of exclusive fashion events; the tantalising taste of unique restaurants. Treasury Brisbane will transition into The Star Brisbane aligned to an early 2024 opening.
