You will get to self-organise and work in squads consisting of developers, ops engineers, customer journey experts and product owners who come from different domains.
Own it. Most importantly, you’ll get to deliver end to end service, and shape how ANZ delivers on their commitment to providing great customer service through technology.

What will your day look like?
As an Engineer working within the Buy a Home value stream, you will be responsible for building innovative, mobile first, web apps for our end users, using best-of-breed network technologies, and modern software development practices.
As part of this role, you will be working closely with design teams to provide the best user experience, and work with our dedicated business services teams to utilize both existing and new services for our products.
You will also be responsible for defining and maintaining our development tooling and software architecture. You will review and maintain software engineering best practices, and work with business services teams to help define new and innovative technical solutions that meet business objectives and provide a great user experience.

What will be in your toolkit?

• 5+ years of web or application development experience
• 2+ years working with React or similar framework and a deep understanding of sound code practices.
• Ability to demonstrate UI design literacy.
• Ability to demonstrate working within cloud environments such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• We value CI/CD and automated testing plays a large role in that. Experience with unit testing and familiarity with react-testing-library or similar.
• Familiarity with, or a willingness to learn Typescript.
