About The Role

Role Location: Melbourne / Sydney

Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The Model Analyst role is responsible for managing data analytics projects that support the development, implementation and maintenance of decision models/automated solutions, capital estimate models as well as strategy led analytics that apply to Retail Consumer and Business portfolios across the credit life cycle. The post holder will also require portfolio/project management skills to engage with stakeholders across the Risk and Business functions to support wider Risk/ Business initiatives as well as manage projects as per agreed timelines.

In addition, the Model Analyst acts as a point of contact between business units for operational level credit scoring and capital models related issues. This role designs and builds strategy proposals consistent with Group Methodology and IT capability. It ensures all models delivered comply with ANZ Group governance requirements, policies, processes and standards and with legal and regulatory requirements.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have the following skills, knowledge and experiences:

  • Knowledge of basic lending practice throughout ANZ Australia.
  • Involvement in Consumer Risk Management modelling
  • Proven analytical, numerical, research and problem solving skills.
  • Experienced in the build of at least one of the following: application, behaviour, collection and ratings models
  • Familiar with ratings models methodology.
  • Well-developed written and oral skills and sound understanding of MAPE, PSI and other statistical calculations.
  • Above average computer skills including: statistical software (e.g.SAS, S-Plus), Microsoft applications
