About The Role

Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008

Role Type: Permanent

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40hrs/week

 

The Customer Tax Transparency Competency Area is a specialised team that governs the dedicated CTT Policy, associated obligations and relevant Level 2 Requirements to ensure ANZ global businesses meet the standards required under Automatic Exchange of Information (AEoI) laws. AEoI encompasses laws such as the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the OECD Common Reporting Standard (CRS), which impose obligations on Financial Institutions around the world. ANZ must comply with the relevant law in all jurisdictions where ANZ operates, and like other Financial Institutions, is required to collect specific information, assess its validity, and to report certain customers to assist worldwide tax authorities in combatting tax evasion.

The CTT Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst will be required to work with the CTT Regulatory Reporting Manager and members of the team to assist in building and embedding the capability of this competency area. They will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders including Business process owners, SME’s, Business and Systems Analysts.

   

Key responsibilities would include –

  • Conduct detailed business analysis activities for validation, endorsement and submission of external regulatory reports.
  • Work with large and complex data sets to meet regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Identify, analyse and embed strategic initiatives such as process improvements.
  • Work with Operations Teams to analyse and resolve complex issues that impact their due diligence activities.

 

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Business Analysis experience, preferably with experience in Project transition to BAU or Business Analysis in a BAU function.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to lead information gathering, investigation efforts and implement change.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Ability to understand the needs of multiple stakeholders and respond appropriately to complex problems in short timeframes.
  • Knowledge and experience delivering within the ANZ project delivery environment, particularly transition to BAU.
  • Proficiency in the delivery of business process analysis outcomes, including:
    • Current state analysis; 
    • Root cause analysis;
    • Process improvement objectives; and
    • Process vision and design.
