About the role:

As VE Teacher, you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled in selected courses in the School. Participation in the School’s continuing reviews of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including on-line delivery methods) and methods of students’ assessment will also form part of this role. 

You will interact with external organisations, industry groups and RMIT teaching and administration staff. Your performance will be underpinned by participation in relevant activities which ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.

The School requires a suitably qualified and experienced Teacher in Vocational Education in the discipline area of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Subject expertise is required in the fields of:

  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Blockchain Solutions in the Supply Chain
  • Conduct Environmental Audit
  • Manage Risk
  • Monitor the Safety of Transport Activities
  • Apply Knowledge of Logistics
  • Develop and Maintain Operational Procedures
  • Transport and logistics enterprises
  • Manage Customers/Suppliers Service
  • Manage Budgets and Financial Plans
  • Lead and Manage Team Effectiveness
About you:
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management discipline. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills, and in the use of flexible teaching methods.
  • Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence and scholarship which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
  • Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose and implement effective solutions
  • Industry experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with substantial skills and discipline knowledge, with skills and experience in competency and curriculum-based assessment.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Applicants must hold the TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or

TAE40110 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following units:

  • TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A and
  • TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B as a minimum qualification.

Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children check.

 Diploma level or higher qualification and/or experience in a Logistics and/or International Business discipline will be highly regarded.
