Engineer – Salesforce CRM

Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of something really different - working in an agile way to innovate and deliver quality outcomes at pace? We’re looking for people who are passionate about transformational change and doing great things for our customers, to help us redefine banking for the future. Join us as we reimagine services using the latest platforms and technology, to better support our customers’ financial wellbeing.

We’re hiring now and for the future. Curious? Then take a look at the ANZ LinkedIn Life page.

The Australia Transformation team is seeking talent as we look to reimagine banking for the future. As part of the team you will design and deliver compelling customer-centric solutions focused on improving the financial wellbeing of ANZ’s retail and commercial customers. So if you’re passionate about doing the best thing for our customers, providing our coaches a platform to help support our customer’s financial futures and support any queries to get help then we’d love to hear from you.

What's your mission?

Here at ANZ, Engineering is about delivering a seamless experience at scale through working with the rest of the business in an innovative, adaptive and agile way. This means you will get to:

Solve for problems and issues that matter. You’ll work on providing solutions that make an impact to customers. You’ll have a laser focus on customers, using human-centred design to provide simple and impactful solutions.

Develop both breadth and depth. We want great engineers, and we will foster our people’s talent by giving opportunities to work on things that develop both your deep technical expertise, as well as your broad end-to-end understanding. At times you may be coding in a specific platform, and at other times you may work on enterprise-wide solutions across the business— either way, you get to work on missions that excites you.

Work Agile in multidisciplinary teams. You won’t be faced with traditional hierarchies. Instead, working Agile means you will be constantly testing, iterating, and making rapid decisions as you go. You will get to self-organise and work in squads consisting of developers, ops engineers, customer journey experts and product owners who come from different domains.

Own it. Most importantly, you’ll get to deliver end to end service, and shape how ANZ delivers on their commitment to providing great customer service through technology.

What will your day look like?

As an Engineer working within Business Services Engineering, you will be responsible for building and evolving our Salesforce CRM platform, as well as any surrounding services and capabilities used to drive success on the platform. You will be using a cutting-edge Salesforce pipeline, utilising Salesforce DX at scale with completely automated build pipelines and a focus on engineering excellence not typically found in a CRM implementation.

As part of this role you will be both building and utilizing vendor solutions, and we will be looking to you to provide advice on the right mix of solutions, and whether vendor products meet the required level of engineering.

As an Engineer within the CRM Business Services squad, your team’s mission is to focus on solutions that transform the way our coaches support our customers using ANZ products and services. You will work closely with the Get Help value stream to re-imagine the way we interact with our customers.  You’ll leverage solutions such as Fenergo to build business capabilities such as Electronic Verification, Order Management, Case Management and Workflow Management not to mention the core CRM capabilities and data that Salesforce requires to facilitate these processes.  Additionally, you will have to interface with many new online solutions such as document generation and storage, open banking, identity and address verification to provide higher transparency and digital first experiences.

As an engineer within this team, you will be responsible for defining our development tooling and work with our platform teams to help maintain the CI/CD pipelines. You will also utilise container-based toolsets in your day to day development and work across both AWS and GCP environments to meet the desired business outcomes.

What will be in your toolkit?

•    A deep understanding sound code practices.
•    Advanced core Salesforce CRM knowledge in regards to the functional capabilities and the way the platform is configured and customised to meet business requirements whilst maintaining best practise.
•    Salesforce engineering experience with Apex and LWC.
•    Deep Salesforce DX knowledge and general engineering knowledge
