The School's leadership is tasked with the significant responsibility of building the architecture and capability to position RMIT with a supercomputer capacity and a world class digital leading lab which will support interdisciplinary activities as they transition into augmented reality. SCT will fast-track digital innovation across all College programs and elevate our external position as a leader in technology and digital innovation.
About Role/youThe Senior Lecturer will contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School. The incumbent is to make a significant contribution to the delivery of programs and to be actively involved in research, consulting and other professional activities. You will work to develop, engage in and lead high quality research projects that are aligned with the Universitys research focus areas to achieve success in attracting research funding and to produce high quality outputs. As the Senior Lecturer will have an important research leadership role in embedding their research expertise into the life of the School and will be required to develop high-quality, productivity-driven networks across RMIT and with local, national and global, internal and external partners.
The Associate Professor will provide leadership and foster excellence in teaching and research efforts of the School, within the University, and with the community, professional, commercial and industrial sectors. More specifically, you will be responsible for providing original, innovative and distinguished contributions to the Schools programs for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities relevant to this discipline at a national and international level. As an Associate Professor will also teach and make a significant contribution to teaching and learning in the discipline with the aim of improving learning outcomes for students. You will also be expected to make significant contributions to the planning and strategic direction of the School, taking on academic leadership roles involving participation in various committees within the School, College and University and external to the University, as appropriate. You may also be appointed as Deputy Head of School/Dean for a specific discipline or to provide strategic leadership for learning and teaching or research and scholarship.
