About the College of Vocational Education
The purpose of RMITs College of Vocational Education is to empower learners and our industry, community and government partners to succeed in the new world of work. With robust ties to industry through effective engagement and deep collaboration, the College of VE provides rich discipline knowledge and a learning and teaching delivery model that aligns to future student and industry needs. Our discipline clusters strengthen the multi-sector advantage, while fostering deeper collaboration between disciplines.
About you
As a VE Teacher, Dental Technology you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled in the Diploma of Dental Technology.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Dental Prosthetics, Dental Assisting including Oral Health & Radiography as well as Dental Technology within the Allied Health & Dental Program cluster.
The Diploma is delivered via blended learning, comprising a large component practical work in our dedicated laboratories within the hospital and online learning via RMITs online learning platform.
The role requires participation in the continuing reviews of course content and development, delivery, teaching and assessment methods . You will also follow the prescribed university processes and timelines to ensure programs meet regulatory compliance and quality requirements.

Qualifications
Diploma in Dental Technology
Vocational Education Teachers are required to meet all the following minimum standards.
The appointee must be able to demonstrate vocational competencies at least to the level of those delivered.
The appointee must hold:
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following units:
Note that eligible applicants may be given financial support to complete their Cert IV TAE at RMIT. Further details are available for those interested.
Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children check.
