About the Job
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an engineering teacher to join our team on a casual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the teaching of the following curriculum:
• Advanced Diploma of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering Design or Electrical
You should have industry experience and be able to teach in some of the areas below:
• Programming and installation of PLCs
• Robotics
• Automation systems
• Embedded systems
• Digital and analogue electronics
• Industrial Networking
As a Swinburne PAVE Teacher, you are required to inspire, engage and educate our students for the 21st century. You will implement industry best practice and apply current learning technologies and contemporary learning pedagogies. You are also expected to work collaboratively within a team of education professionals. Within this team environment, you will plan, deliver, assess, evaluate and ensure compliance of high-quality education and training programs. This role requires our teachers to be able to customise and adapt our programs to meet our learners and clients’ needs that vary from certificate level through to diploma and associate degree levels.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Relevant degree or vocational qualification in vocational areas applicable to Vocational Education programs
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or its successor) – preferable
• Demonstrated excellence or capacity to implement high quality approaches in teaching and assessment, using a variety of learning modes, which respond to diverse student learning needs
• Demonstrated ability or the capacity to provide support and advice to students of diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities
