About the Role

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will be required to provide person centred nursing care for people living with a disability.?The people we support have a broad range of needs that require someone who is driven by quality, person-centred, a disability conscious. Due to the support needs of our clients, it is also important that candidates are able to work flexibly across a 24/7 roster. This includes mixed shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality care for people with disability in line with their individual lifestyle plans
  • Observe and report changes in clients’ health and daily living needs in a timely manner
  • Cooperate within a team to share information and ensure consistent service delivery
  • Complete required documentation to ensure accurate records are maintained
  • Report potential risks and safety hazards to maintain a safe work environment for all

Skills & Experience

  • An unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence
  • The ability to work flexibly around a 24/7 roster
  • Clear and honest communication and basic computer skills
  • Preference for experience or a certification in manual handling
  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003
  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, or similar

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including a National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
