About The Role

Role Type: 12-month Fixed-term

Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) is a central function that is tasked with coordinating the uplift of data governance across all Divisions and functions of ANZ, thereby ensuring data quality as well as aligning to privacy, ethical and regulatory expectations.

In this role, you will work with senior data governance stakeholders across the organisation to support the strategic uplift of the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) framework. This includes development and implementation of strategies to optimise governance frameworks, processes, tools and standards. You will be communicating to senior stakeholders the strategic or end-state and defining the pathway for maturing Data Governance capability across the various business units in ANZ.  You will require an ability to analyse and synthesise information, understand organisational context, complete business analysis activities, and understand the requirements for the Enterprise Data Governance framework, as well as other Operational Risk & Compliance frameworks.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Relevant experience in the application of data governance or risk frameworks
• Ability to communicate broader or organizational context and translate strategic objectives into tangible frameworks and processes
• Domain knowledge around data governance and / or data management desirable
• Strong understanding of business process and banking systems 
• Can appreciate difficult problems and is a self-starter to work autonomously on tasks with medium to high complexity
• Can work collaboratively as part of a team and clearly represent consolidated findings.
• Ability to translate analysis outcomes into workable solutions and to support their implementation
• Strong communication, problem solving and quantitative analysis skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders and guide them through structured business analysis, with a focus on customer and business outcomes
