About the Job
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Portfolio & Project Delivery, this role will be critical to delivering key strategic initiatives across the Academic Portfolio.
What we are looking for – a dynamic, self-starter with Digital Transformation experience. You will have experience in the Education sector, understanding the structure & workings with the ability to connect & engage across the University community.
This role will align the delivery of several key initiatives to Strategy & deliver value to the University within the funding allocated. The successful candidate has a proven track record in effective business case development, defining & delivering to clear benefits & ensuring excellence in execution. The Project Manager will lead & influence to confirm there is commitment to meeting the objectives, applying best practice frameworks & in line with agreed timelines.
The Project Manager will collaborate across the ePMO and other business units within the university to develop and maintain an enterprise view and governance of projects amongst varying stakeholder groups. The Project Manager will need to effectively deliver projects on time, within budget and to scope, whilst maintaining constructive risk management practices. The role is that of a resilient, proactive problem solver. You thrive on continuous improvement; you have a delivery focus & are motivated by a challenge.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• A postgraduate degree level qualification in a relevant discipline with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training - relevant Project Management qualifications
• Extensive and broad Program + Project Management experience across all areas of organisational change including large scale IT projects
• Demonstrated capacity to develop strategy and translate strategy into measurable plans, and performance expectations, with execution achieving results
• Highly developed analytical, strategic and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to research and analyse complex information and identify risks and opportunities
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and influencing skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and staff from different levels within the organisation
